Amazon Announces Fee Waiver for Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF) on Walmart Orders

Amazon has just announced a significant update for sellers using Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF) to fulfill orders from Walmart. To make it easier for sellers to expand their ecommerce businesses beyond the Amazon store, Amazon is waiving the 5% surcharge for using alternative carriers when fulfilling Walmart orders. This fee waiver will remain in effect through January 14, 2026.

What Is Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF)?

Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF) allows sellers to use their Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) inventory to fulfill orders from other marketplaces and platforms, such as Walmart. With MCF, sellers can leverage Amazon’s fulfillment network to handle storage, picking, packing, and shipping for non-Amazon orders.

Benefits of Using MCF for Walmart Orders:

  • Reduce out-of-stock rates by 19% on average: MCF helps sellers maintain better inventory availability across multiple channels.
  • Improve inventory turnover by 12%: By optimizing inventory management, sellers can reduce excess stock and streamline operations.
  • Fast and reliable fulfillment: Amazon’s robust logistics network ensures efficient and timely order delivery, enhancing customer satisfaction.

How to Use MCF to Fulfill Walmart Orders

Amazon offers two ways to fulfill Walmart orders through MCF, making it simple for sellers to integrate their Walmart sales with Amazon’s fulfillment services:

1. Use a Supported Order Management App

Amazon recommends connecting your Walmart account to MCF through a supported order management app. This allows for seamless automation, enabling Walmart orders to be sent directly to MCF for fulfillment. 2. Submit Manual Orders on Seller Central

If you prefer to submit orders manually, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Create MCF Order page on Seller Central.
  2. Enter the customer’s shipping address.
  3. Under the Add items section, select:
    • Only ship with blank boxes: This ensures that the packaging does not display Amazon branding.
    • Block Amazon Logistics as a carrier for this order: This ensures that alternative carriers are used for delivery.
  4. Complete the form and click Create order.

Note: By selecting Block Amazon Logistics, the usual 5% surcharge fee will be waived until January 14, 2026.

Why Is This Important for Sellers?

This fee waiver is a game-changer for sellers looking to expand their presence on Walmart Marketplace without incurring additional costs. By removing the 5% surcharge for using alternative carriers, Amazon is making it more affordable for sellers to utilize MCF while adhering to Walmart’s policies, which often discourage the use of Amazon-branded packaging or logistics.
