Amazon has announced a significant update to its fulfillment requirements for "Premium Sellers," automatically upgrading their default order handling time from 1-day to 0-day, effective October 27th.
This change, which will be updated by Amazon's system automatically, is designed to enhance the platform's overall logistics experience for customers.
Under the new 0-day policy, Premium Sellers are required to meet stricter same-day shipping deadlines. All orders received before 11:00 AM must be processed and shipped on the same day. Orders received between 11:00 AM and 6:00 AM the following day must be shipped by that next day.
Amazon advises sellers who cannot meet these new same-day requirements to take immediate action. Sellers should adjust their shipping settings at the ASIN level, manually reverting to a 1-day processing time for any products that cannot be shipped this quickly.
Sellers are encouraged to evaluate their fulfillment capabilities in advance to avoid potential penalties, such as an increase in order cancellations or negative impacts on their performance metrics due to delayed shipments.
