To enhance the efficiency and accuracy of domestic U.S. shipments, Amazon has announced a new policy for its Partnered Carrier program. Starting June 12, 2025, sellers will see fee adjustments based on discrepancies between the weight and dimensions they provide for their shipments and the actual measurements recorded by carriers.
When carriers identify differences between the weight, dimensions, or freight class (for less-than-truckload or small parcel shipments) you input during shipment creation and the actual measurements of your shipment, Amazon will now adjust fees accordingly.
If your measurements are too high, you will receive a credit to your account.
If your measurements are too low, you will be charged for the difference.
These adjustments will be reflected in your account and can be monitored through Amazon’s Inbound Performance dashboard.
The Amazon team emphasized that this is not a new fee and said that regardless, there is no penalty for providing inaccurate information.
Amazon has made it simple for sellers to track discrepancies and address potential issues:
● Go to the Inbound Performance dashboard in Seller Central.
● Select Inaccurate transportation weight/dims under the "Defect group" section.
● Click View details to see specific measurement differences for your shipments.
By keeping an eye on these notifications, sellers can maintain accurate records and avoid unexpected charges.
